I’ve been playing around with various AI tools recently, but one that grabbed my attention in particular was KlingAI.com
It allows you to create images from text (similar to midjourney, ChatGPT, etc) however Kling takes it a step further by bringing static images to life to create short video clips.
Over a decade ago I produced a song in a studio. I cannot play any instruments and I cannot sing a note in tune, but I’ve always felt that I had a decent “ear” for music, and I’ve written a few songs over the years and I can imagine how the tune would sound would be. Well years ago I booked a recording studio session and met with a super talented guy who could play both the guitar and the keyboard and could also mix tracks with various music software tools. He was able to recreate the sound I had in my head, into real music, purely from me humming and making da, da, da noises to him! :-)
I also hired a singer for the afternoon, a very talented lady called Tori Beaumont, who sang the song beautifully.
It was a fantastic experience and I thoroughly enjoyed doing it. Anyway skip forward over a decade to now and I thought I’d have a play around with Kling to try and make a music video for the track.
Here’s what I came up with. The videos are not perfect, but the pace at which AI is moving absolutely astounds me… this took around 3–4 hours to create, but even six months ago I dare say this would’ve taken me 2 weeks…. And only a year ago, it wouldn’t have even been possible!
