Cheap parking when flying from London Luton Airport

I hate being ripped-off when flying somewhere from London Luton Airport (well to be fair, it applies to all airports!) with many of the official “park-and-ride” options often costing £40-£50 to park. It’s often more than the cost of the actual flights which is absurd!

Well here’s a little tip for parking when flying out from London Luton….

Book yourself a ticket at the Luton Airport Parkway station car-park on parkway road — https://prebook.apcoa.co.uk/carpark/location/luton-airport-parkway-station/3685

At the time of writing this, the cost of parking is £3.30 per day, and from there you can get the train (one stop) to the airport.

If you have the time, and there’s a group of you, you could potentially drop everyone off at the airport short stay, then drive to this car park (4 minute drive), and just pay for one train fair to the airport from the car park, and on return just one of you collects the car, then picks everyone else up from the short stay.

We’re going to Jersey for the weekend and I was originally quoted £90 for parking….. this way round the whole lot (parking plus train) worked out to be around £20

I tend to write about anything I find interesting. There’s not much more to it than that really :-)
